49 Per Cent Off All Drinks at Allianz Stadium
An almost-half-price drinks offer is rolling out at every food and drink venue in the newly reopened Allianz Stadium, for one weekend only. Hospitality group Merivale – which runs all 64 of the hospitality offerings – is giving guests 49 per cent off all cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, champagne, soft drinks and juice.
The food menus go above and beyond typical stadium fare like sad hotdogs and tongue-burning meat pies. Some of the group’s most respected executive chefs have reinterpreted the eateries and dishes it’s best known for, including Dan Hong’s cult-favourite cheeseburger spring rolls; a spinoff of the Mike Eggert-led Totti’s, with antipasti, pasta and the diner’s famed neapolitan ice-cream sandwich; and an iteration of fine-diner Bert’s, headed up by Jordan Toft, offering a full-service bistro experience with oysters, grilled lobster and Wagyu sirloin.
And to drink? There’s plenty to choose from – including El Loco Tacos’ Margarita Seltzers, Ata Rangi crimson pinot noir from Totti’s, a rose spritz with cucumber and strawberry from Ms G’s, Jasper sauvignon blanc from The Chicken Shop, Furphy beer from Stadium Burger and more.
The discount applies to all drinks up to the value of $200 (orders of $200.01 and above will cost full price). And why 49 per cent? It's the maximum amount any business can legally discount alcohol according to NSW state law.
The promo runs from 5pm to 7pm on Friday September 2 (when the Rabbitohs clash with the Roosters) and Saturday September 3 (Wallabies versus Springboks for the Rugby Championship).
