Bruno Mars – The Official Opening Concerts at Allianz Stadium

Fri 14th October, 2022 – Sat 15th October, 2022
Allianz Stadium
Driver Avenue, Moore Park
The American performer – who has previously sold out three Australian tours – will bring the Uptown Funk to the Harbour City when he opens the newly rebuilt Allianz Stadium in Sydney.

American superstar Bruno Mars will be the first performer to officially play at Allianz Stadium in Moore Park following its $828 million rebuild. The Uptown Funk and 24K Magic singer-songwriter will perform two exclusive shows in Sydney in celebration of the opening. (The stadium has a warm-up on August 28, with a free community day headlined by Guy Sebastian and Baker Boy, and it'll host its first NRL match – the Roosters versus South Sydney – on September 2.)

Mars is a 15-time Grammy winner and has sold an estimated 200 million singles; earlier this year he joined Paul Simon as the only artist to have been awarded Record of the Year at the Grammys three times. Audiences at the show will be treated to tunes such as That’s What I Like, 24K Magic, Uptown Funk, Marry You and Just the Way You Are.

Allianz Stadium (also known as Sydney Football Stadium) will open in October, after the original structure was demolished in 2019. The last event there was a Michael Bublé concert. The new stadium will offer rain cover to the entire crowd – in its previous iteration, it covered just 30 per cent of attendees. Controversially, it will have 1500 fewer seats than its predecessor.

Other big names set to perform at the revamped stadium include Elton John and Justin Bieber.

Telstra Plus pre-sale runs from 1pm on August 8 to 1pm August 10. Tickets go on sale to the general public from 1pm on August 11.
