Encore Manly
Forget theatre seats and watching your favourite acts from afar – a new event series is bringing some top comedians and musical artists to intimate venues around the Northern Beaches.
Encore Manly is taking over some of the suburb’s bars, restaurants, clubs and hotels for two weeks, with gigs and stand-up shows at venues like Banco, Busta, Chica Bonita, 4 Pines, Daniel San, Donny’s, Hotel Steyne and Sunset Sabi.
On the star-studded musical line-up: Amy Shark, DJ sets by Client Liaison, The Presets and Bag Raiders, an acoustic Boy & Bear gig, Touch Sensitive, You Am I, Daryl Braithwaite and heaps more. For much-needed laughs, there’s Alex Dyson, Merrick Watts, Tommy Little, Mel Buttle and Kit Warhurst, among others.
There’s something for the kids too, with beachside appearances by Bluey and Bingo, Dr Hubble’s Bubble Show, the Teeny Tiny Stevies, The Beanies and Roo’d Kangaroos.
Plenty of the shows are free, with tickets required for some major acts.
