One of the world’s best bartenders is coming to Sydney to craft cocktails for a Vietnamese feast.

South Korean bartender Bannie Kang is one of the world’s best. In 2019 Kang beat out thousands of competitors from six continents to win the World Class cocktail competition, and in 2021 she won the Asia's Bartenders’ Bartender award. Now she’s on her way to Australia for an event that brings together Tanqueray No. Ten gin and sumptuous Vietnamese eats.

Kang will launch Sydney’s World Class Cocktail Festival in conjunction with the beginning of the Moon Cake season – a traditional seasonal festival celebrated throughout many Asian countries.

Taking over Burrow Bar in the CBD for Mooncake & Lanterns, Kang will team up with chefs from the venue’s Vietnamese-inspired sister eatery, Cash Only Diner, to present a three-course feast paired with two of Kang’s signature Tanqueray No. Ten cocktails.

As well as share her expertise, Kang will discuss the significance of Moon Cake season. There will also be cocktail specials for the duration of the festival that showcase other Tanqueray No. Ten selections.

Book tickets to Mooncake & Lanterns here. It’s all part of this year’s festival – all events and the line-up can be found at World Class Cocktail Festival.
