Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival
Last year’s Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival claims to be the biggest running event since the pandemic started. This year’s goal? An even larger turnout.
The spring running festival is back for one active day, with something for first-time marathoners, seasoned runners and casual springtime walkers.
The main events are the Nike Melbourne Marathon and the Nike Wheelchair Marathon (42.195 kilometres), plus the Nike Half Marathon (21.1 kilometres). There are shorter routes too, including the 10-kilometre run, five-kilometre run and a breezy three-kilometre walk.
As always, the runs will cross some of the city’s most iconic landmarks and institutions before a victory lap and crossing the finish line inside the MCG.
