Sydney World Pride 2023

Fri 17th February, 2023 – Fri 3rd March, 2023
Sydney
Dubbed the “gay Olympics” by some, the LGBTQIA+ celebration will see 500,000 people from around the world descend on Sydney for a 17-day festival like no other. And tickets are about to go on sale.

Global LGBTQIA+ celebration World Pride is coming to Sydney in 2023, after the city beat out Montreal and Houston in a bid to host. It will be the first time WorldPride has been held in the Southern Hemisphere and the Asia-Pacific region since it was first hosted in Rome in 2000, and will run concurrently with Sydney’s annual Mardi Gras celebrations.

Sydney World Pride will be a 17-day celebration of queer Australian people and culture, with more than 300 events across the city – including the Mardi Gras Parade, which returns to Oxford Street for the first time in three years.

World Pride will also include an opening concert hosted by Courtney Act and Casey Donovan; 10 days of market stalls, dining and performances along sections of Crown and Riley streets; a huge beach party in Bondi; a First Nations gala concert; plus a giant street party on the closing weekend.

More than 500,000 people are expected to come together from around the world for the once-in-a-lifetime festival. Sydney’s own Mardi Gras Parade is also returning to its spiritual home on Oxford Street.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 9am AEST on Monday July 11, with general public on-sale from 9am on Friday July 15. Sign up to the mailing list for early access.
