Wanderlust True North
We’re all more stressed and burnt out lately. And while it’s easy to bottle up those tensions and keep on going, wellness event organiser Wanderlust wants to help you slow down and release your worries.
It’s bringing its in-person festival back to both Sydney and Melbourne, with a full day in each city dedicated to helping you find your true north and get on the right track for your mental health.
There’ll be yoga, meditation and “sound healing”, alongside inspirational talks and stories, live music performances and DJ sets, and healthy treats throughout the day.
Former AFL player and Australian of the Year 2014 Adam Goodes will share his journey of cultural discovery and identity, and host Sarah Todd (from Masterchef seasons 6 and 14) will reflect on her personal wellness story, while hip-hop artist Emmanuel Jal recounts his experiences as a child soldier in South Sudan and how music helped him heal from trauma.
Nick Littlemore of Pnau and Empire of the Sun is setting the mood with ambient electronic music for a breath-focused yoga session with Byron Bay instructor Tahl Rinsky, while the stylings of singer-songwriter and self-described sound healer Benny Holloway will accompany a guided meditation by Laura Poole.
The day will also include market stalls from brands with the same ethos and values as the festival, free samples of tinctures and supplements, a vegan grazing platter and an Acknowledgement of Country at the start.
